Life
In all stages of life, we have to give some decisions which are usually shaped by people around us and conditions in the time of we are living. Even though they are shaped by the things around us, those decisions surely affect our future, so in this point we must be the ones who are determined to create our own ways, because it is our life. When we are in high school, we have to choose what we want to be in the future, so we try to get into best universities possible.
We may give some wrong decisions, and it affects our lives in a long term. When we are in our late 20's, another important stage of making decision is waiting for us. While writing this post, I am mostly focused on my current situation. As a steemian who is 27 years old at the moment, I think about my decisions constantly. What is currently making me think is the way I should go. Should I have a stable life or more adventurous giving some radical decisions?
Marriage, work and debt!
The ones who prefer to have stable life in their own countries usually follow some basic steps to be a good chain of the society. This is usually same in all countries no matter how developed they are. Even though it has started changing recently, many people pursue of the dream of having a stable life. Comfort zone always makes us feel safe. Especially, because of the pressure coming from families, people prefer to seek for a job just after they graduate from school.
When people find a work to earn their money like many other ordinary people, they do their best to be permanent in the same job. As they keep working for 3 or 4 years and get older reaching the limit of age of 30, they are expected to find their life partners. Life partner means getting married and making a big step to start your stable life which is also wanted by other people around you. This process doesn't end here. If you get married with a person, you have to have your own house and all other things to keep your marriage strong, all these things lead you to debts.
Debts
Yes, our point is debt. Marriage is a big decision in your life which brings lots of responsibilities in your new life. When you are married, you have to have your separate life which means that you must buy your own house as soon as possible. When we look at the economical situation of countries, it is not so easy to have your house by paying lots of money in cash which means you should have contact with banks more often to get some loans from them.
When I look at people around myself, I see many of them paying money every single month not to lose the dream of having their house. We spend our lives working and working just to get a house. We always feel nervous as it is possible to lose our jobs suddenly and we might lost everything in our hands. As you can see, it limits people a lot. On the other hand, I can't judge these people as it is the system created by the societies. As people fear, they feel that they have to continue this life.
Another life possible
You may ask ıf there is another way of living possible. Well, it is possible, but in this case you have to get out of your comfort zone. Some people like me feel that in this system we will always be the small parts of the chain. Even though I work for 20 years in a company where I do my best to make my boss richer, I won't get to any point. If it is the case, life gives you chances to take some risks, how can we take risks?
A new life in a new country might appeal your interest. A new live in your new country might open you some new ways which can allow you meet new people and those people might help you to find you new aspects. You can travel and earn money at the same time, it can be also a great chance not to have boring and stable life. However, in this system there is always a big risk of losing everything, but don't forget that when you have a stable life, you won't get to any important places either.
Final note
These are my personal thoughts about our life choices. As I said, nothing is wrong in our lives. All decisions can lead you to good and bad things, but it is really hard to make a final decisions. Sometimes, I feel like we're in a never ending, monotonous circle or loop. We are born, we live, we get married, we have kids and die.
Is it really worth it? At the end of the day, like you said it's our decision to make and the result of the decision is also ours to bear.
I think it's important we just do what we need and want t do, live what we need and want to live and make ourselves and people around us happy. At the end of the day, the regrets and hope is still ours to bear.
