Today was a shopping day for some of the items

Many items we can get in advance and save some time and prep work by getting it weeks in advance. Some of the items just saves us some time so today we went on shopping trip. So off to Sam's Club we went to get what we could from there for @ultrawing high school graduation party. We got the chips and some of the candy there. Some of the candy we were looking for Sam's club was either sold out or the price is better at GFS for that item. Then we had two of the candy items we couldn't find at Sam's Club, GFS or Walmart, but we finally did find it at Meijer so we did track down all the candy for the candy bar.

I found those cool jars

And we are gonna use some caulk to write different things on each of the jars. @ultrawing likes puns. So the candy bar is meant to be full of puns. We have Book Worms aka gummy worms, Honor rolls aka tootsie rolls, So Long Suckers... aka dum dums, Class Rings aka ring pops, Smarty Pants aka smarties, and Nerds.

I also got these stickers to put on Hersey Kisses

Though these won't be on the candy bar. I have some bowls the Hersey kisses will be in on the tables. I liked the added touch of these. It takes awhile to put them on the bottoms of the candies, but I think the little touches are worth it. I also got some water bottle labels but since @ultrawing hasn't shared his birth name with his readers I am not going to share that photo here as they are personalized with his name on them. They were not very expensive at all, I found both of these items on eBay.

Decoration have arrived too for his party

We no longer have any local party shops and the big box stores just don't have a good selections of decor to choose from so I went online. I was happy to see everything arrived as it should with no damage. I am behind schedule this year because of the move. Last year I had everything I needed to have done but the food that would go bad done by the end of April. So I feel like everything is moving upon me faster than I want. But I do still have 19 days before the party. He may be graduating on the 19th but I had sense enough to wait to have his party for the following week. I still haven't found the grad plates I got on clearance for his party before me moved. I might have to rebuy them.

Packing it for transport

We have candy chips and all kinds of other things for the party. So I am putting it into plastic totes for transport. As we are having his party in a cabin in a park in my hometown. As both sides of his family is either from my hometown or more familiar with it then they are where we live at now. Since we don't have a yard yet to host it in and it is more mud than anything and can't host it here, we figure we should make it easier for everyone to come. Our home school friends are all over the place and they will travel because they are awesome like that.

Still a bunch of stuff to get

We still got to get most of the drinks and most of the food. Most of the food won't be gotten till the day before the party, when I cook it and prep it for the party. I like to cook things that are fresh so unless I see a deal too good to pass up, I will wait to buy the meat, produce, shredded cheese, sour cream ect.. till the day before. I still can't believe that my baby boy is graduating high school. Seems like yesterday he was just a tiny baby. In a blink if an eye he grew up on me.
