Us too, we only became renters again when we relocated to a new town. My husband and I both think it is kind of dumb to buy a house in a new town and you don't know much about the neighborhoods. We decided to rent for a few years so we know where the good and bad areas are at. That way we wouldn't be stuck in a bad area.

Great idea!!! That's what I'm doing as well. I know my hometown really well but haven't had the chance to know where the best place to build for me is -- and I don't have the money for buying land and building on it at this time anyway. I know that I want to build in an area that isn't hot property and which doesn't have a lot of intrusive building code requirements, as I want to design just what I need without worrying about unnecessary nanny laws. I'm thinking of an area that's just north of North Anderson that is along the CATS route out there.
