Waiting to hear back from the Adjuster, but the damage doesn't look too bad

Today we went to go look at the damage in the day light

Thankfully it doesn't look too bad here are some photos that show all the damage I can see. The frame doesn't look bent and it didn't even break the headlights. So over all it could have been a lot worse. It was hard to see it yesterday morning. We also know the radiator is busted and that will need to be replace. I don't know if there is any damage we can not see or not.

As you can see not too bad

Over all the damage isn't too bad. Hopefully it won't take too long to fix it. I hope to hear back from the adjuster tomorrow with the go ahead to get it fixed. In the mean time our insurance company got us a rental car it covers 30 days of a rental. I hope we won't need it for that long. As even though they are paying the rental fee we are covering the daily insurance, we already have one claim and the way our luck has been running, we don't need a second claim on our insurance in a short time span. Hopefully it is unnecessary but I like to cover my ass butt.

That is not bad at all. Definitely could have been worse. Glad your okay.

My husband hit a deer yesterday it was so dark out there even with the flashlights you couldn't really tell how bad it was.

I'm glad it wasnt worse. We hardly ever go out at night for this reason. It can be deadly.

He was on his way to work when it happened. Thankfully he wasn't speeding down that road yesterday. Normally he flies down that road. As it is pretty desolate out there. If a cop was ever out there he would get a ticket for how fast he goes down that road. But yesterday he was going the speed limit. Thankful for small miracles.

Wow! Thankful he was going slow. Yes always thankful for small miracles. Hope the adjuster gets back with you fairly quick.

Looks like that's fixable reasonably quick. So glad the bumper did its job! Good call on the CYA policy, too.

I am hoping so. So glad the frame is not bent.

Suppose to be fixed by the 16th

So glad your husband is safe.

It's a shame you couldn't eat the deer. At least that would have been some compensation for the inconvenience!

The cop asked him if he wanted it, but he was on his way to work and knew I wouldn't be able to handle it on my own, so he told him no, so the cop asked him if it was okay to call someone from second harvest to pick it up to process it. So there is some good in it, as they came and picked it up, apparently they should be able to use at least half of it. Second Harvest feeds those in need. They do food tailgates and give away meats and fruits and veggies twice a month. I had no clue some of it is road kill.

That's nice to hear, actually. Both that the police offered, and that it went to a good cause after all.
