The waiting game is a treacherous thing in my business sometimes. Do I make a phone call and chew someone's ear off? Or do I venture to remain patient, counting the minutes as the wait continues? The visa has been issued, or so I was told after the promoter in the foreign country 7000 kilometres away, had to make a call again to the embassy office. The passport was dropped off on January 12th for processing and now it's February 5th and I still don't have it in my hands. My flight is Thursday morning, 3 days from now. The courier website says the package is on it's way. So now instead of being able to head out into the sunshine, I must wait here in the warm dusty apartment for a man in a uniform rushing to deliver all his packages today, to arrive. Okay, so I guess it goes without saying, that this kind of stress, tension and doubt, gives life a little excitement at least. But honestly, I am ready to have my little blue book back in my hands now, so I can venture out into the unknown and sing some blues...
