This is my very first post and some feedback & suggestions would really be helpful.

I read a lot. I love to read and since last few days I've been reading and researching about some successful entrepreneurs and investors- been reading their biographies and history. And I've come up with following 8 habits they all have in common. They're like " if you have these habits, you're destined to be successful" kind of habits. And here they are:

Reading

Successful entrepreneurs like Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk are reportedly said to be voracious readers. Not only entrepreneurs, every successful person reads a lot. Why? Because reading teaches you a lot of things. Literally, a lot of things that you never knew or imagined. Reading enhances your knowledge and broadens your thoughts about the world. Read everyday whatever you can; journals, articles, books or anything you can get your hands on.

Making goals and pursuing them

People who are determined to be successful, set out to achieve something they want and work consistently towards that goal. Really, without goals, what do you set out to achieve? Make goals, short term and long term. Daily goals, weekly goals, monthly goals, yearly goals. And don't just make them. Act on them. Pursue them. Give everything you've got to achieve those goals. When you achieve one goal, then create another. Build a habit.

Communication/ Building relationships

Communication is a very essential tool to every human being. It is a mighty weapon with which they can win the world. From successful business people to politicians, they communicate and build better relationships with their partners, colleagues, customers and employees. Be it personal relationships or business relationships, they are able to maintain them very well. And this is because they talk to people, they come around the neighborhood. They don't hide away. They get involved in activities along with their everybody else.

Learn something new everyday

Warren Buffet, a successful investor and philanthropist says that, a life spent learning is a life well spent. Successful people have a habit of learning something everyday. It helps in creativity; coming up with better ideas, plans and strategies for their future, for their company, for achieving their goals. And it also makes them smart just because they know more than others. Build a habit of learning, everyday, even a small piece of knowledge. Eventually, you will have knowledge that very few of the people around you will possess.

Go to bed early and rise early

There are literally hundreds of benefits of rising early. For starters, early morning gives you fresh air and time to focus on yourself. It also gives you time to exercise, meditate and make a plan for the day. Researches have shown that early rising is a very healthy habit. And people who practice it say that it changed their life.

Avoid wastage of resources

Be it money, time, their skills or human resources of the company, successful people have a habit of utilizing them to their full potential. The most important resource for them is, not money, but time. And they wisely use it. Wasting valuable time on hours of TV and Netflix, like an average person, is not for them. They recognize what their skills are and use those skills to their competitive advantage. If you want to be one of them, then you must develop the habit of efficient utilization of what you have. "If you don't have what you need, then you've got to use the best out of what you have." That's one of my principles.

Don't look for money

This may surprise you but most of the guys who have made their mark in the world don't start their journey with an aim to get rich. They just follow their passion. They do whatever they do for the fun of it. Its because they just love to do it. And it seems as if that money is just a good and useful byproduct. Although money is necessary to keep the business running, it is not the primary motivating factor for any entrepreneur. Average people, however, have a habit of analyzing returns a business can give before they even start it. Don't be in that category. Don't be excited about the money. Be excited about that new idea you came up with becoming reality and changing the world. Money will just come.

Don't give up

The most important habit to succeed in anything is not giving up. Why? Because you'll fail countless times. And most people, when they fail, give up because they are too tired or too embarrassed to fail again. And that is what separates a successful person from others. People who are determined to succeed go a step ahead than average people to make their work a success. And no matter how many times they fail, they stand back up and do it again. If they fail once, they learn a lesson and then try again, without any decline in enthusiasm and efforts. Eventually, they succeed. So, don't be embarrassed and afraid of failures. Fail and stand back up.

These are, as I said , habits. Analyzing their mindset, they all seem to have one .... no not one, two things in common- passion and determination. Their mindset is what drives them to success. So, have you got passion and determination?
