Social media giant Facebook has brought a new feature called Watch Party. Firstly, the company had brought this feature in January last year but it was used by only a few users. However, Facebook has now announced that this feature can be used in all Facebook groups.
Facebook users can watch the video together in real time through this feature. Once Watch Party is launched, users will be able to watch live or recorded video together, as well as viewers will be able to interact with each other while watching the video. Facebook has given information about this in a blog post. With this new feature, the pleasure of seeing the video will be doubled. For a group you want to watch this video with, you will see a new option named Ad Video. Testing is going on to use watch party features along with other friends other than the group, in the coming days, efforts are being made to try to sort out some solutions through the pages.
This feature of Facebook is another step towards promoting video, and this feature will compete with Video Sharing platform YouTube.
