A Life of Misery turned as A Life of Inspiration

Nowadays, everyone continues to live their life with meaningless vices. Vices that may pertain to smoking, drugs, addictive games, drinking of alcoholic beverages, being shopaholic and etc. They continually do these things as an escape from the reality. The part of their life that they think is worthless and trash.

Sometimes, we experience tremendous problems, dilemmas and agony in life and we tend to block those things thru vices. But, in the end, we think ourselves as losers. We predict that our lives will never be successful nor it will ever be good anymore. We absentmindedly lose hope and end up screwing our lives more.

But, have you ever thought of Persons with Disabilities? People who are Deaf? People who are Blind? How about Cripples? Have you ever thought how they perceived their lives? Do they have a luckier life than you? Of course not! You have a normal body, a person with complete arms, legs, seeing eyes and ears that can hear clearly!

I know a man, he was born without arms. But, still he can feed himself using his feet. I know another man, he was born without legs, yet he continues to travel to other places and never thought of his life as a curse. Lastly, I know a man without arms and without legs yet lives his life without worries.

No arms? No legs? Yet no worries? How is this possible? How did he perceive life? This is a story of a Serbian-Australian Christian evangelist, he doesn’t have a normal life as we do but he became an inspiration, an eye-opener that life may be full of challenges, CHALLENGES THAT ALL-IN-ALL CAN BE OVERCOME!

Yes, challenges in life are very stressful but these challenges hone our personality in a constructive way. It nurtures our way of thinking, and it efficiently strengthens a man’s one’s soul.

At first, he also felt never ending agony and depression. He constantly struggles especially seeing young boys do what he can’t do. He always questions himself, “Why do I have this kind of life? What is the meaning and purpose of this life if I have these limitations and disabilities?”

But, now he had seen his purpose, he had his life as an inspiration, a motivation to people who are lonely of their lives. He traveled around the world, sharing his story with millions of people. How he survived his life despite of what he only has.

Honestly, I have arms and legs yet doesn’t know how to swim but was surprised that he knows how to swim. I never played soccer but was shocked to see he can. These are small things but as I look out of the box, he is less fortunate than me to have these kinds of disabilities. But, here he is showing me that he had achieved greater than what I have today.

Nothing more than the most meaningful life in the world – The Opportunity and Ability to Inspire, to Motivate and to be a great example. An example and a proof that no matter what difficulties come into our lives, it will never denote that it is the end of our lives.

We might question God of the trials and the challenges our lives. But, it is written in Isaiah 55:9 NIV “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

We might not understand why we are here today. But, someday, all will be revealed. You will see His purpose in you. Nick says, “If God can use a man without arms and legs to be His hands and feet, then He will certainly use any willing heart!” (Source: https://www.lifewithoutlimbs.org/about-nick/bio/)

He has used Nick Vujicic as a vessel, a vessel of hope and inspiration to all, believers or non-believers of Jesus Christ. He used him as an example of how ugly our life may be today. There will always be a purpose, a good reason and a meaning behind what we experience today. Who knows? You may be the next person who may have A Life of Misery today, but A Life of Inspiration to other people by tomorrow.

I hope you appreciate my work. God bless us all!
