Hey everyone, I am glad to announce that I am still alive and kicking, I was however without internet for two weeks but have since solved the net connection fiasco.
I have made a very long journey from the east coast of South Africa to deep into the heart of the country, the Karroo desert, to a small town called Kuruman. It is a semi-desert region of South Africa. No exact definition of what constitutes the Karoo is available, so its extent is also not precisely defined. Very beautiful in the spring time and well known for its spring season that changes the desert region to a awe inspiring fields of blooming flowers.
The trip on the bus took roughly 20 hours to complete with the short layover in Pretoria and cost about 90 USD. I have added a map with the path marked out.
This is now my third day here and I am getting to know the location and town layout. I have however taken some great pictures on the way and will be adding new posts during the next few days.
I have also started to build my first hydroponics setup which I will be creating a series about highlighting how I built it, what problems I have run into and solutions for it and the growth cycle of the plants with updates.
Being interested in hydroponics, vertical farming and aquaponics for about 3 years now I thought It is about time for me to put all the knowledge from my research on the internet to use on the topic.
I will keep you updated on the Hydro system and my photography so stay tuned.
