It is three days until Christmas Eve and my kids are getting excited. They are frequently asking, when is it gonna happen, and they are curious about wha tthey will get. But, an even more important thing that we try to focus on is the true essence of Christmas and what it is all about. We do know that Christmas is celebrating the birth of Jesus, and it makes me kind of mad at times when this fact is overshadowed by everything else, and when we call it something else just so we do not hurt the feelings of other people around us (who might not believe in Jesus).
Well, I think we can call Easter the celebration of the death and ressurrection of Jesus, even if people don't believe in it. That is what a democrazy is about and what tolerance is about... i tolerate you and your feelings, and your celebrations. I am not insulted by muslims celebrating ramadan and not eating during the daytime, and they are fully allowed to do so. You get what I mean?
