Preface:

Over the last few weeks I have been having some issues on Steemit with a user flagging almost all my posts. The user wouldn't respond to me to tell me why so I temporarily suspended activity on this account. Over the last few days I have had many discussions with friends on Steemit and decided to return.

Renewed Vision

While I do not, personally, feel like I did anything "inappropriate or wrong" I have come to realize that some people do. Now most people have heard the old saying "you can't please everyone" and normally I agree and don't even try. However, when the person that is unhappy with me has the Power to Destroy me, my account and my income it definitely gives me Pause. Pause is exactly what I did, I took a few days to reassess my role on Steemit.com, my livelihood, and some recent Life Choices.

My Role on Steemit

Like it or not I quit my job largely because of Steemit. Well because of the unending pain I suffer and the belief I could "make a living" on Steemit. That was my first mistake, depending on Steemit.com for my income. As several people have recently pointed out "Steemit doesn't owe me anything" and while I don't completely agree with that statement I will concede that "Steemit doesn't owe me an income!"

Much in the same way that Steemit is growing and learning, so am I. I am searching for my place in this crazy world of Steemit just like the hundreds of thousands of other Steemians here. I am not fortunate enough to be one of the Whales or the people who consistently have insanely high paying posts. Which leaves me trying to find my place as best as I can; sadly I am human and will not always do things that everyone agrees with. I am, however, better than I was and fully capable of learning from my mistakes and continuing to move forward and grow with the platform.

I am going to continue to help as many people as I can in the various Chat groups and help promote Steemit whenever and wherever I get the chance. I will not, however, continue to put Promotional Links to various Campaigns, Groups, etc. in everyone of my posts. I will no longer link to GoFundMe campaigns, no matter how worthy of a cause they appear to be. I will no longer attempt to raise money for anything or anyone on Steemit or put any links on Steemit to such attempts by myself or anyone else. My posts will continue to be varied and contain content that appeals to me and I won't worry if it appeals to anyone else because I know someone will appreciate my content and my effort.

My Plans

As much as I did not want to have to do it, I have realized I have very little choice at the present time and today I went and got a job. Yeah I am going back to driving an 18 wheeler for a company I used to work for in Salt Lake City, UT. It isn't an Over-The-Road job per say, but more of a Regional Job. I will normally be home every 3-4 days and will only be operating in Ut, AZ, NV and CA. I will basically be just running back and forth from Utah to California to Utah. The pay, with bonuses, is actually higher than anywhere else I have worked since I left this company back in 2012.

Once I start getting steady income again I am going to buy a descent (2002 or newer) all wheel drive Vehicle, I am thinking something like a Jeep Renegade (pictured below) that is small, economical but has some utility to it. Once I get the vehicle paid off I will buy a RV/Bus and begin converting it to a permanent home for myself that I can live in on or off-grid. Once I get it fully rigged out and get some money saved up I will quit driving again and become a Nomadic Steemit Ambassador as I had hoped to become recently.
