Spiritual Warriors: The Armor

There is no Warrior sitting all day and letting somebody to solve his problem. We encounter everyday life struggles which we have to fight. Courageous Warriors don't rely on others help but to do their best to overcome difficulties thrown to them by this world. Not only those who go for specialized combat activities, who fight with weapons and bombs, and people who kill innocent men can only be called a Warrior. Because a true Warrior is the one who fight for truth and battle on their knees. They are the Spiritual Warriors.

"Submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." -James 4:7

Alchemist once said, "A Spiritual Warrior armed with his sword of self-knowledge and self-control, destroys ignorance and attains a state in which there is no suffering, and selfish desires." But for me, " A Spiritual Warrior armed with the words of truth, destroys the state of sufferings." For the mind of a true warrior is his battlefield and his ignorance is his enemy. Releasing himself from the effect of wickedness the cycle of death, through the words of his testimony.

"Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Ephesians 6:10-12

The One behind successes guaranteed us of His mighty power to stand against the schemes and accusations of the enemy by commissioning us to be strong (Joshua 1:5), for it is not the battle of our flesh but by the spirit. Uprightness, discipline, wisdom and fear of the Lord are the weapons to use to destroy the passions of lusts, hatreds, oppression, curses, arguments and alike. They combat the universal enemy, which is the ultimate source of sufferings. They battle using the full armor of God:

Helmet of Salvation
Breastplate of Righteousness
Shield of Faith
Belt of truthfulness
Sword of the Spirit
Sandals of Peace

Once a spiritual warrior purifies his mind through consecration then his ultimate task is the War against all spiritual forces of evil on the spiritual realms. Those who prefer to battle with passions in consecration alone are perfectly free. Those who seek delight in the Lord in battles are the ones who are called to be the true warriors with the perfect armor. I believe that each and every one of us can become a Spiritual warrior not using any of our own capabilities, not even our materials possessions but by delighting ourselves, using our knees, to the one who victors two thousand years ago, the center of it all, Jesus Christ.
