Simple SEO Checklist for More Organic Traffic

in blogging •  7 years ago

Do you want more traffic coming to your blog or website for free instead of advertising for it? Of course you do! We all do, myself included. I mean look at the benefits:

-more people see your content and your branding
-more people enter your sales funnel
-and ultimately you make more money no matter what sort of monetization methods you have on your site.

So how exactly do we get this mythical "free, organic" traffic? Well, the simple answer is Search Engine Optimization or SEO.

Now, SEO isn't a new phenomenon, it's been around since the beginning of search engines as we know it! That's actually why it's so important to address this issue now though; everyone else is already doing it! And if you don't then you're missing out on driving traffic to your website!

So how exactly should you go about this? Well nobody is certain how valuable certain actions are to Google, Bing, or Yahoo when they decide where your website should rank but there are a few things that are widely agreed upon by the internet marketing community.

-You need to write great content, consistently.
-You need a system of backlinks to your website that shows that you're an authority figure in your niche.
-You need a fast loading website.
-Your great content needs to be keyword optimized.
-And you need a seamless navigation hierarchy so that the search engine can crawl your site effectively (and so your readers enjoy the experience too!)

Now, these are deep topics and they could require thousands of words to explain, much too long for one simple article, however, this should provide a platform for you to make further research into the field of SEO.
