"BUT THAT NO ONE IS JUSTIFIED BY THE LAW IN THE SIGHT OF GOD IS EVIDENT, for “the just shall live by faith.”
Galatians 3:11 (NKJV)
Comment: The evident or proof that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God shows that the just or believer would have to live by Faith.
Why would one not be justified by the law? Because the law could only show you your sins; your errors or weaknesses:
5 FOR WHEN WE WERE IN THE FLESH, THE SINFUL PASSIONS WHICH WERE AROUSED BY THE LAW WERE AT WORK IN OUR MEMBERS TO BEAR FRUIT TO DEATH. 7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I WOULD NOT HAVE KNOWN SIN EXCEPT THROUGH THE LAW. FOR I WOULD NOT HAVE KNOWN COVETOUSNESS UNLESS THE LAW HAD SAID, “YOU SHALL NOT COVET” (Romans 7:5–7 NKJV).
The law however could not deliver you from the sin or the passions of sin that are entrenched in your body: "FOR WHAT THE LAW COULD NOT DO IN THAT IT WAS WEAK THROUGH THE FLESH, GOD DID BY SENDING HIS OWN SON IN THE LIKENESS OF SINFUL FLESH, ON ACCOUNT OF SIN: HE CONDEMNED SIN IN THE FLESH" (Romans 8:3 NKJV).
Striving to please God by observing the law is a waste of time, a futile exercise, because the sinful nature or passions for sin in the flesh would not allow you to do it (Romans 7:15-24).
This is why those who want to be made accepted before God through their religion and good deeds cannot: "BUT WE ARE ALL LIKE AN UNCLEAN THING, AND ALL OUR RIGHTEOUSNESSES ARE LIKE FILTHY RAGS; WE ALL FADE AS A LEAF, AND OUR INIQUITIES, LIKE THE WIND, HAVE TAKEN US AWAY" (Isaiah 64:6 NKJV).
Faith in Christ Jesus alone, through Whom grace is released or given to live above Sin:
21 IS THE LAW THEN AGAINST THE PROMISES OF GOD? Certainly not! FOR IF THERE HAD BEEN A LAW GIVEN WHICH COULD HAVE GIVEN LIFE, TRULY RIGHTEOUSNESS WOULD HAVE BEEN BY THE LAW. 22 BUT THE SCRIPTURE HAS CONFINED ALL UNDER SIN, THAT THE PROMISE BY FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST MIGHT BE GIVEN TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE" (Galatians 3:21,22 NKJV).
Also, through faith in Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit is given, comes to reside on the inside of your recreated human spirit, thus, you have the privilege of being led or directed by God through His Spirit on the inside of you (John 14:16,17,26; 16:13; Romans 8:14).
