7 “EVEN A TREE HAS MORE HOPE! If it is cut down, it will sprout again and grow new branches.
8 Though its roots have grown old in the earth and its stump decays,
9 AT THE SCENT OF WATER IT WILL BUD AND SPROUT AGAIN LIKE A NEW SEEDLING."
Job 14:7-9 (NLT)
• The potency of the Word of God, to give life to whatever It has contact with.
- The Word of God is powerful, and strong, to build and rebuild, create and recreate, the world and everything in it that was originally made by God's Word:
1 IN THE BEGINNING THE WORD WAS ALREADY EXISTED. THE WORD WAS WITH GOD, AND THE WORD WAS GOD. 2 HE EXISTED IN THE BEGINNING WITH GOD. 3 GOD CREATED EVERYTHING THROUGH HIM [the Word]" (John 1:1-3 NLT).
READ: Genesis 1:3 - Jesus Christ is the Word personified. The Word of God in your life would bring a change in whatever situation of your life.
- Even when it seems there is little or no hope for you, your response to the Word of God will bring a change and make a way out of whatever the predicament.
- There is power in the Word of God, when you positively responded to it. When you allowed God's Word in your life and situations, you had given Jesus a place to operate in your life—to be part of whatever you are going through (Revelation 3:20).
- Also, Water is a type of God's Word, as said earlier (Ephesians 5:26). And your response to It, the Water, or how you open up to the Word of God, determines your blossoming, that is, your fruitfulness (John 15:14,16).
- If the Word of God, which is a type of Water, is made available to you; you definitely would sprout, or blossom, again. And this is largely determined by your response to the Water, that is, the Word—If you give a place to the Word in your Heart (Psalm 119:11).
- The hope of everyone is in the Word of God—the Bible.
• If you had been challenged or cut down by the devil, there is hope for you. - All you needed to work on is your response to the Water of the Word of God being sent or made available to you.
- God does not want you to remain on the down, despite the challenges of the devil. God wants you to open up to the Word of His, and not be weigh down by the hurt or wound inflicted by the adversary—the devil.
- The passage says the tree will bud and bring forth branches like a plant, like a new seedling, at the scent of water (Job 14:9).
- The mission of the devil is to steal, kill, and destroy, whilst Jesus Christ's mission is, He has come to give life: "THE THIEF'S PURPOSE IS TO STEAL, KILL, AND DESTROY. MY [Jesus'] PURPOSE IS TO GIVE THEM A RICH AND SATISFYING LIFE" (John 10:10 NLT).
- There is life for you in Christ Jesus through His Word, regardless of your situation or condition. There is hope for you!
- You may have been weighed down because of what you have passed through, but If you could put your past behind you and respond to His Word, and the love being shown to you; you would surely sprout or blossom again (Job 14:9).
- Do not close your mind against God and His Word, and the people of God who are coming to you. Respond to God's love being shown or expressed to you, through His people. There is Hope for you! You have a colorful future and you will get there in Jesus' name!
• If you bluntly refused to respond to God; His Word, and the people who are showing love to you, the devil might take advantage of your separation and loneliness and do you more harm.
- There is nothing in the world If you departed from God. A believer who falls should not remain in the fallen state, but to rise up again and keep going: "THE LORD HELPS THE FALLEN AND LIFTS THOSE BENT BENEATH THEIR LOADS" (Psalm 145:14 NLT).
"FOR A RIGHTEOUS MAN MAY FALL SEVEN TIMES AND RISE AGAIN, but the wicked shall fall by calamity."
Proverbs 24:16 (NKJV)
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, I declare your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
- The hold of sickness is broken completely in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. As you took the steps A and B your name is written in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).
