We all get hurt at some time in our lives by those whom we love, respect and trust. How we forgive them is core to our spiritual, mental and physical well-being.
This is for all those out in the world who got badly hurt and struggle to forgive, especially if that person keeps doing things to you that makes forgiveness close to impossible.
I love to blog about things which I am passionate about. I have been battling with this subject of forgiveness for quite some time and have seen what it has done to me to be unforgiving. I came across these quotes which I hope if we place it in a spot where we can look at it constantly it will help us to always forgive no matter how hard or how many times we have to repeat this action.
When I was wronged, I at first could not understand how a person could be so cruel. Being in this person’s presence was painful, especially seeing the expression of no remorse on their face and in their actions. This caused me to become bitter, caught in my own web of self-pity. My son said something profound and this quote emphasized what he said. Forgive lovingly, and do not allow that person to have control over your life anymore by letting him go without ever looking back.
These following words are very true. Forgiving is not for the person who wronged you but for you to be able to heal. When we completely forgive it helps us to deal with the emotion and enables us to let go of that anger and pain. It is the only path to recovery.
This quote stood out for me because it is very powerful in its truth. An attitude of gratitude is very important, lets acknowledge all we have and even be thankful for our challenges as they help form our character.
Do not let pride stand in your way and think it is too risky and useless to forgive. You will benefit far more from it than the person you are forgiving. Your spiritual, emotional and physical well-being depends on it. Help your heart to heal by being forgiving.
Hope you all will enjoy a positive and peaceful week.
