Stevie Ray Vaughn (SRV) is one of the greatest guitarists of the 20th century. There are/were other great guitarists like BB King, Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison, John Lennon, Eric Clapton to name a few and they cannot be compared with each other. This post is about Stevie Ray.
Born on 3rd Oct, 1954. From playing in small night clubs and bars, he rose to fame and entered into the main league of musicians of that time. He and his band became the most sought after during major blues festivals and other major events at big venues. His addiction to substance started affecting his career, fame and health. With the help of loved ones around, he went to a rehab and turned into a new leaf. Just when he was about to reclaim his fame in the music industry, tragedy struck in the form of an ill fated chopper crash, and we lost one of the greatest musician and guitarist of all times on 27th August, 1990. Amazing talent, Gone too soon.
Some of his hits which are in my playlist are

- May I have a talk with you
- Texas flood
