If you are a blogger, you are always out there looking for new platforms and new places to publish content. You are also looking for new sources of income, meaning that you will look for options and opportunities.
As an old Steemit user, I automatically got a Hive account upon the split in March 2020. Later, there were new platforms created through Hive, and one of them was Blurt. There was one other as well, but I do not really remember what it was, and I haven't heard about it since.
But, Blurt is actually up and going, and it is kind of alive. Of course, it doesn't have nearly as many posts and size of content as Steemit or Hive, but that also means it is easier to get in contact with the people on the platform, because it is little and feels like family. That is why after a couple of days of blogging I have already commented and been in contact several times with one of the lead developers at the platform, and it is just as easy for you to get started.
So, if you are struggling on Steem and not really earn more than $0.1 or less per post, you will actually earn more and experience a far greater portion of success if you decide to use Blurt. But, it might be smart to get in early, because if the bull market hits us, then there will be loads of new users coming, lots of new posts, and it will be harder to get good relationships with the core members, because there are just too many out there.
So, maybe you should take a look at blurt.blog yourself to check it out? If you are a Steemit user as of long time ago, then maybe you even have an account.
If you want to buy Blurt tokens, you can find more instructions at https://www.ipaddressguide.org/how-to-buy-blurt-tokens-for-blurt-blog/
Are you active on Blurt? Or are you strictly blogging on Steemit?
This article has no intention of bringing people from Steemit to Blurt, because I am a hard-core Steemit blogger myself and there Is a much bigger earning potential on this platform with the Steemit initiative and more. But, as an additional platform, it might be worth considering
"Later, there were new platforms created through Hive, and one of them was Blurt."
Actually, Blurt is a copy of the Steem blockchain. All Steem accounts and wallets were copied and pasted. No content was copied.
"if you are struggling on Steem and not really earn more than $0.1 or less per post, you will actually earn more and experience a far greater portion of success if you decide to use Blurt."
That's a good point. A lot of real content-creators who have stayed on Steem, and from what I've seen that's not many, have deals going and other arrangements that ensure their posts get votes, like this one has. But many are like myself, posting here and earning between 0.00 and 0.03 USD per article. I make about $2 here per year, as does just about anyone without an arrangement such as vote-for-vote, buying votes, etc. Most Steem users, therefore, can easily move to Blurt and start making a lot more.
Blurt has a "universal basic income" function called Blurtbooster. If you're human, and post content you create yourself, you can get an automatic vote on every post, generally about $1 (if your post isn't just a quick snapshot and title). A lot of small Blurt users are simply there for the Blurtbooster vote, draining the reward pool without adding much to the blockchain. $1 a day is enough to bolster a family's income in the third world. (Here in Canada, well, let's just say I've worked MANY years full-time to amass enough to buy a single cart of groceries.)
So yes, Blurt is a good spot for content-creators that can't make money on Steem. If they bring money to Blurt, great. If they bring social capital to Blurt, great. If they're just there to crosspost and drain the reward pool, oh well, nothing we can do to stop them.

Thanks for dropping by @drutter! Somehow I thought Blurt originated via Hive and not Steem, but then I seem to have gotten that wrong. Agree with you when it comes to the earnings on Blurt being easier accessible than here at Steemit!
