Growth that can be seen

July was one of the most eventful months ever for Bluzelle. We successfully completed our incentivised testnet event Swarm of Duty. With 220 validators participated in stress testing the network and 1.4 million of BLZ tokens being rewarded, Swarm of Duty was one of the largest and most successful testnet events in the world. During the event, we discovered a serious bug in the Tendermint Protocol which can cause halting of the whole network. Bluzelle worked closely with the Tendermint team to resolve the bug quickly, resulting in a new release of Tendermint Core & Cosmos SDK.

Adoption of Bluzelle Decentralized DB is not stopping. On top of over 40 community projects being built, we just announced our partnership with HedgeTrade, a leading social trading platform that ranks top 35 on CMC. They will be synching up with Bluzelle’s decentralized database network to deliver blockchain-interoperable trading tools and features to HedgeTrade’s growing consumer base.

We also launched our BLZ Soldier Program, an initiative that combines the power of the Bluzelle Soldiers to further the global presence of our brand and expand our ecosystem. We will conduct our first online 'Bluzelle Bootcamp' for all the qualified soldiers on 27th July.

We have released an interactive roadmap on Trello! You can dive into details of products and features to be shipped, and how we are consolidating our tech and building a vibrant ecosystem through the new roadmap.

Growth of Community:

  • 7.4k telegram group members, 400+ increase in a month
  • 37.5k Twitter followers, 1.4k+ increase in a month
  • 244 testnet validators
  • 51.18k BLZ Ethereum Addresses, +109% new addresses in the past 7 days according to Binance Research)

We have a very strong momentum now as we are very close to releasing staking and the mainnet. Let's keep it going! - Pavel Bains, Bluzelle CEO
Successful Completion of Swarm of Duty
Swarm of Duty validator competition ended at block height 385,079 on 1 July. We are grateful to the 200+ validators for upholding a secure and stable TestNet throughout the competition.

Quick stats:

  • 220 participants.
  • 128 (58%) maintained a perfect power uptime while 193 (88%) achieved more than 50% uptime!
  • 32 achieved 100% voting participation with no missed blocks!
  • Four iterations (upgrades) of the Testnet during the competition.

One network stall occurred, and prompted a massive security improvement to Bluzelle’s architecture.
Three network crashes occurred. This led to Bluzelle discovering a critical bug in Tendermint!
