I finally managed to get the automatic transmission out of my 1990 BMW E30 by bench pressing it off. I would not recommend you do this unless you know what you are doing!

Dude. Great video lmaoo. Watching this on the train took me about 3x longer so I got to memorize your struggling facial expressions everytime paused to load. If you shim it, get a palate jack raised up to the height of the tranny, remove the sims then lower the jack. That might have worked? Without me knowing any proper tools for this type of extraction.

That's a great idea actually, except I don't have a palate jack. They make a tool called a transmission jack, but I don't feel like paying $100 for a one time use thing.
When I have to put the transmission back in, I'm straight up going to muscle this thing in. Luckily the manual transmission only weighs about 80lbs as oppose to this 125lb piece of shit (litterally piece of dog shit auto tragic nightmare of an excuse for a transmission)!

Sucks that you had a literal piece of dog shit as a transmission.
