The Settlers of Catan was a board game introduced to me by my housemate during my college days. It was love at first sight! I couldn't believe there were other board games in existence aside from the usual Monopoly and Risk. I had fun growing up with Monopoly and Risk but to be honest there wasn't much strategy to it. A lot of your fate largely relies on your dice roll. The Settlers of Catan changed everything for me. I was opened to a whole new world of Euro board games. Through the years I've also been exposed to lots of other board games but like they say, "you never forget your first love." The Settlers of Catan was that to me. :)
