Greater awareness of one's body to relieve pain. With the Feldenkrais Method it is possible, in the group and individual lessons, to analyze their motor patterns and modify them.

Our movements and posture are often the results of certain conditioning. For this reason, when we suffer from tensions or pains frequently we cannot determine the causes. The Feldenkrais Method can help us find the cause of these disorders. It is a motor learning technique that allows you to strengthen your body's awareness. It is, therefore, possible to learn to recognize and, if necessary, modify certain behavioral patterns and habits.

The Feldenkrais Method was conceived by Moshe Feldenkrais, who, besides being a scientist, was also a judo teacher and co-founder of the first judo club in Europe. Learning was essential for Feldenkrais.

When is the Feldenkrais Method used?

The pedagogical concept can be implemented in two variants, as a group or individual lesson. In the group lesson, we use the technique of "Knowing Through the Movement". In this context, the participants follow the verbal indications of a teacher Feldenkrais and then perform the movements independently. During the lesson the teacher Feldenkrais, addressing to the participants questions about sensitivity at the level of the feet or the presence of any tensions in the shoulders, draws attention to certain habits or new possibilities of motor correlations.
"Functional Integration" is implemented in individual lessons; in this case, the student is made to sit or lie down in a certain position. The teacher Feldenkrais performs movements directly on the participant using a non-verbal technique.

According to the Feldenkrais Association, a person's learning ability is an integral part of health and vitality. The Feldenkrais Method is aimed at all people, of any age and in any situation of life, allowing them to learn new concepts, improve their physical and health conditions and benefit from the advantages of this technique. The Feldenkrais Method can therefore also contribute to improving motor skills and getting to know one's body better.
