The winner was announced officially the 21st of December in the headquarters of the Colombian Architecure Society located in Bogota, Colombia.
FP OFICINA DE ARQUITECTURA is an architecture studio based en Medellín, Colombia, and has earned a reputation due to his environmental approach to architecture and his simple "volumetric" designs. The jury awarded the project because the projects has meeting plazas that connect the public space throughout the hole first floor. In other hand, the volumetric expression of the building provides an iconic figure in the landscape that claims its own place in a particularly low dense spot in the middle of the city.
Another requisite for the proposal was the planing of two phases of the project that involves a future construction required for future programmatic needs for the institution. This proposal completely integrates with that future expansion and seamlessly leaves room for connections and new urban plazas.
