The US Intellectual Property Office (USPTO) has granted full patent approval for Rewarded Video by Verasity, which enables publishers and brands to reward consumers with virtual currency in exchange for their engagement.
Rewarded video is an interactive video advertising format that allows viewers to earn ‘Rewards’ by watching a video ad and then completing a task within the app or website. These rewards can be redeemed for a variety of products, including gift cards and cashback.
Verasity said its platform provides publishers with tools to create dynamic content that engages users and drives engagement, such as quizzes, games and surveys. It also has tools for brands to create branded rewards using AI technology.
