The movie features Ranveer Singh portraying a charismatic Punjabi gentleman who falls in love with the enchanting Alia Bhatt, hailing from a well-educated Bengali family in Kolkata. As sparks fly between them, their union faces obstacles stemming from their divergent family backgrounds. In a classic Bollywood fashion, the couple decides to switch their families prior to marriage to test the endurance of their relationship. However, they struggle to fit into their new roles.
