Towing out the Bombardier Penguin.

Since Jay went back to work I got Mike(the penguin owner) to grab two pails of gas and pick me up on his way by, since the plow truck was already out there out of gas.

The first move was winching to a tree far to the right to get it turned out from under the 'widowmaker' tree without it falling on top of the penguin.

It was definitely a close one!

Next move was to snatch block to a big spruce and give it a pull with the plow truck.

gave it a few tugs and the winch cable off my winch at the truck busted

Next move was to replace my end with chains and tow ropes, his winch cable stayed in the snatch block which was good because I couldn't be running the chains or ropes through it.

Mike was doubtful all day that we weren't going to be able to get his penguin out and to the highway, but I kept reassuring him that today is the day and I am getting it out with him.

The truck just couldn't get it over that bank so Mike is going to shovel under the track on the one side a bit.

That little bit of shovel work did the trick!

Once we had the penguin on the lake we hooked it up to the plow truck and tried to give it a pull but this heavy beast was not having it, I even had chains on the truck tires!

So we had to hook up the penguin to his truck and then hook up his truck to my plow truck, worked great!

I wish I could have gotten pictures or even a video of it coming off of the lake, once again Mike was doubtful of it making it off because it had a sharp corner and it also got a bit tight. Well, that penguin came over that bank sideways, I knew it wouldn't tip because of its width but watching it come over was thrilling. It then just went up one side of the bank to come off of the lake through the tight spot.

Made it off the lake! Mike was so excited we made it off the lake that he ran up to me with the biggest grin ever and gave me a big hug lol

Don't doubt this girl!
I told him it was coming out TODAY and it did! 😉

10km more to go!

Made it right close to the highway where a semi can come in to load it up!

It took most of the day to get this done but it is done and now Mike says he is weeks ahead of schedule with it, he figured it would still be a few weeks before he was able to get it out.
