Bonsai World - Avocado Bonsai maintenance

in bonsai •  6 years ago
My last post was an update on my avocado bonsai and since then I knew proper maintenance was needed. It needed new and fresh soil because its current one was beginning to house really small bugs, I didn't want that in the future they could affect this one or other bonsai. No pictures of the process were taken, sorry.

New soil mix consisted of permite and vermiculite hoping that it creates a good proportion between drainage and water retention for an avocado tree. On top of that, I also added a layer of regular sand and some moss to look better and perform as isolation. If moss propagates throughout the pot that would be awesome!
