As this is still considered “Christmas time” I’ll share with you one of the best Christmas presents I ever received.
It’s Greek mythology for children, a lovely book, maybe the one that changed my life. I was 7 when my parents gave me this incredible gift: It was love at firsts sight, i learned a lot through it and I still love it today, because it’s one of the things that led me studying archaeology I think. Also it is brilliantly colored and drawn: everyone knows kids love bright colors and stuffs like these and apparently my parents also.
Suddenly I felt enchanted by the Greek stories and culture, I wanted to know more and more about it, to know names, places... it was the start of a never ending love story.
I grew up reading and re-reading a book just like that, less colored maybe, but it's the stories that matter. Didn't go on to study history or anything, but having a good knowledge of mythology is part of a good education!

Ciao ciao ;)
