Maybe it's one of the most frequent sentences in the Google search list. Who doesn't want to be rich?
Rejecting the windfall is called bad, especially not wanting to be rich. The definition of rich here if for myself is more to prosper than actually. Want to buy a house, buy an easy car, take a trip abroad, just set the schedule. Not necessarily elite homes or luxury apartments, not necessarily Rolls-Royce or Ferrari, BMW alone is enough (hehehehe).
However, it all still requires money. Including giving a positive impact on people around, if you want to be sustainable, you also need money. So I was interested when I saw the cover of the book called Think And Grow Rich. Frankly speaking, my expectations about this book for the first time are certain detailed ways or techniques in order to gain wealth. That is a rational method and can be quantified. But it turns out that after reading this book, its contents are more about training to increase the mind's perception of wealth. For example, I want two hundred million rupiahs in six months. This book instructs me to train my mind every day to imagine that the two hundred million rupiah is in front of my eyes. I can touch it, smell it, and so on. The shadow must be followed by a strong desire that is also trained every day. With this method expected, if we are trained, the brain will provide inspiration for us on how to get the money in a given time.
I was disappointed with the contents of this book because it was not about what I wanted from the beginning, namely technical and detailed things. Think And Grow Rich explains how to be philosophically and fundamentally rich.
Even in my opinion the instructions in this book tend to be superstitious or mystical. But the Author, Napoleon Hill also said in his book that this might sound like nonsense, but believe it or not this is the similarity of successful people he interviewed such as Henry Ford, Andrew Carnegie, and friends. They have deep conviction that they are destined to be rich.
So, the concept of how to get rich described in this book is actually more about the power of mind or the power of the mind. Of course Napoleon Hill also instructed hard work and perseverance. We can't immediately think of 200 million money every day but no effort whatsoever. The mind training, or autosuggestion, is just a way that we don't lose the spirit of work and not run out of ideas. Start making sense right now?
That's just a few points from Think And Grow Rich. The rest please read by yourself... hehehehe.
Because I bought the translation version, the language sounded stiff and awkward. But the important points still get it. The Think And Grow Rich was first published in 1937, waw is very old indeed. But because the contents are so basic, this book is still relevant today. I suggest for those of you who want to read this book to read first until it's finished, don't try to argue with the author first. When finished, then you can read again, please choose from the beginning again or go to a specific chapter. Many say that reading this book cannot be only once, and I feel it. At least it is necessary to read twice so that this book can make sense and try to apply the commands.
Napoleon Hill's thinking is very unique. The idea has its own character. I think this book must be owned by anyone who has a big dream about anything, not just money or wealth.
