Inferno by Dan Brown was published in 2013, in which the symbolist Robert Langdon is already the main protagonist for the fourth time. As always he has to save the world, but this time in a particularly dangerous mission. This is a 700-year-old text, and no one suspects what is hidden in it.
This typeface is Dante's Alighieri's "Inferno" one of the most mysterious typefaces ever to exist. Robert Langdon and the doctor Siena Brooks set out to clarify the whole thing. Only his excursion through many European countries makes it clear to them that this text by Dante is a prophecy. The whole of humanity is affected and it is a matter of life and death.
For me a very exciting thriller, which I can only recommend
The self-contained sequel to this book was published in 2017 under the title "Origin".
