#PinkReads - All The Books: February 2020

Oh my goodness! What craziness has this year already brought us?!?

I'm not exactly an introvert but I do prefer my own company and my home has everything I need; now, with the world under "quarantine", I just have more excuses to not leave my house... :p

It is quite disheartening to see all the things I've been looking forward to being canceled, like the Bargain Books warehouse sale that was going to happen this weekend, and, the biggest thing for me, Cape Town Comic Con being postponed to next year...

Anyway, that just frees up some more reading time!

February being like the worst month of the year, because you're still trying to recover from January, still, somehow, saw some new books on my shelves.

Promotion / Review

I am so very grateful to have been added to the review team for Jonathan Ball Publishers and I am so very happy when they hand-deliver a package to me each month. They really take the time to consider each reviewer in order to send us a well-balanced stack of books each time.

Included this month:

I am, obviously, most looking forward to the Goodkind, but I still need to get my hands on books 2 and 3. The Pact has made it onto my March TBR as part of Monstrous March, my GoodReads group challenge.

Many thanks, again, to the beautiful people who make this possible!

Competitions & Giveaways

February seems to have been my luckiest month of the year, so far, in an almost bizarre twist of irony, lol. I received packages from 3 different competitions, although one package did take like 3 months to arrive.

The first spot of luck happened at book club and I just happened to have the highest score in our Stephen Quiz, hosted by the lovely folks over at Exclusive Book Tygervalley, and the first prize was a new all-white 2019 edition of IT by Stephen King (the movie tie-in cover?) and a Pennywise with Spider Legs Funko POP.

Then, I also won a little giveaway on Instagram, sponsored by Pan Macmillan, of a signed copy of Tomi Adeyemi's Children Of Blood And Bone.

And, as I mentioned earlier, I received a package in the mail all the way from Roswell, which was a prize I won during a readathon in October last year. This box was packed with goodies, like a candle, tote bag, and tapestry, and it included 2 books; an ARC of Teeth In The Mist by Dawn Kurtagich and a hardcover copy of The Grief Keeper by Alexandra Villasante.

I have already read IT and COBAB but Teeth In The Mist has also made it onto my Monstrous March TBR.

Of course, I made an unboxing video of some these books for my YouTube channel:

As always, I love hearing from you so please feel free to share your thoughts on these books or if you've read anything similar in the comments below; let's be friends! Until next time...

Keep smiling
