Bookmarkable Series: How to Turn Your Videos into Masterpieces Using Just Your Smartphone [FREE]

in bookmarkable •  7 years ago  (edited)

Arming yourself with video skills will help you enhance your posts. Here is a post that will teach you how to convert the awesome videos from your phone and upload them onto the Steem blockchain with all the bells and whistles you need including stitching together videos, trimming, adding text, music & stickers.

It's hard to do without the right tools. So, it's my delight to present a free app called Inshot. InShot does all I need when it comes to creating posts for the Steem. You'll see in just a short 3 minutes, I stitched together 3 videos and trimmed them and uploaded it to YouTube. I went back and added music and a happy face sticker resized to strategically block private information.

Easiest Way to Produce a Video

I created this video so quickly during the hurricane aftermath that I forgot to write a post about it... so here it is! Better late than never!

Seamless Integration

Inshot takes the video you produce and seamlessly uploads it to YouTube. I like editing my videos before putting them on YouTube because the YouTube editor is super slow and cumbersome to use.

TechTips

  • Simply copy and paste the Video URL wherever you want your video.
  • If you hold your camera phone horizontally when shooting, you won't have the wide side margins like I have in this video. I keep forgetting to turn my phone sideways and found a great video on YouTube that will help all of us remember not to shoot vertically. 🤣🤣🤣

Vertical video.... one of the world's biggest problems. haha Thanks for sharing this. I have been trying my best to get everyone I know to start turning their phones over sideways when taking video. It can be especially frustrating when watching a video on your PC.

I'll have to keep this in mind if I need to upload a video from my phone. Thanks for the tips. Another great chapter in the Bookmarkable series!

@ethandsmith, crazy how hard it is to remember to turn the phone landscape! I didn't even know that I was supposed to do that until a few months ago. Lol. Thanks for your amazing support and encouragement! I'm so glad you're part of my life in 2018!

Thanks for this - very useful.

I really want to start to add video posts to my steemit repertoire but not quite got the confidence yet.

That's so great that you want to add video! I know it can seem daunting. Before I found InShot, editing my videos were always such a pain. Be sure to let me know if you post a video using it.😁

@karrencarrens, do you know if the app works on PC as well? I always find it hard to "work" and edit on my phone

Nice you always share tools that absolutely kick butt. Nice. That's a great tool. Awesome.

The tools are going to hopefully help everyone kick butt! Thanks for your encouragement!
