WHY WE SHOULD READ BOOKS

in books •  7 years ago

The United States is probably the most powerful country on the whole planet. Whether we are talking (related to money), (related to computers and science) or military. The United States has one of the most powerful military power there is, with more than 600 military bases all around the world, and (even though there is the existence of) that, the minute you join the US military and you walk into the class, the first thing they are going to talk about is a book that was written 2500 years ago, "The Art of War", published in the 5th century BC.

Why would one of the most powerful country in the 21st century that has soo much experience go back to a time soo old? That's what makes books so great.
People are always changing (and getting better), and the most important knowledge was always written down in books and kept together so the next generation can access that knowledge.
In other words, books are the key to knowledge and knowledge leads to progress and in a lucky way, that tradition still goes on and on.
Books are not just simple information written down, it's very organized ideas collected/made together and written down in the most (very close to the truth or true number) way possible.
