My Opinions - No spoilers

I was huge on the game of thrones books when they first came out...the show is great as well (who doesnt like softcore porn on sunday nights). But I was recently forced to find a muse as GoT is off for the season and I finished all of the Sherlock Holmes stories for the second time and wanted to read something more Sci-Fi. 

Enter Red Rising.. this trilogy is a mixture of game of thrones and hunger games with sporadic hints of lord of the flies. These books have it all; Gut wrenching brutality, tear jerking emotional strife and dark satirical humor that will quickly grow on you and leave you NEEDING more.  

One of the best lines I have ever heard, from a movie, book, or real life was said in this series. And I will never forget it. This story has staying power.

I highly recommend these books to everyone that has the imagination and the time to mentally build a robust futuristic world. 

There is also a prominent parallelism between the story told and the modern day political climate in many developed countries around the world. 

Definitely a must read... George R. R. Martin agrees as well.

    I just finished Morning Star last week. You're right; the trilogy is definitely a must read! It's brutal, raw, and a fascinating sci-fi tale.

    I can't wait till Iron Gold comes out!

      Wait what!??! Iron Rain? Is that a prequil? or adding to this story?

        It's a sequel and start of a new trilogy, set years later after the events of Morning Star!

        Edit: My mistake, it's Iron Gold, not Iron Rain.
