I like seeing what people are reading and reading other people's reviews of books that I might be interested in checking out, so feel free to add me/follow me/whatever there. I've been a little lax on my reading the last two years, but I usually like to give some pretty in-depth reviews of the books that I do actually review.

I tend to read more experimental stuff. Fabulism, magical realism, dark fiction, weird fiction, surrealist literature, whatever...if it's weird to the normal person, I'll probably be into it, honestly.

Is the narrative solid? Perfect.
Is the writing sophomoric or just plain bad? I don't care how interesting the plot, I'll pass if the writing itself sucks.
Is it unlike anything I've ever actually read before? Excellent. That's right in my wheelhouse.

I like books that are more like puzzles to be solved rather than simply read through. Think "House of Leaves," or the Griffin & Sabine books by Nick Bantock (and all his other beautifully crafted books). You'll see by my list of influences on my author page that I like it weird, I like it wild, and I like it good.

So yeah...add me! Let's be word nerds together!

I have recently started using Goodreads. I have just followed you there.

perfect! if you're a reader, you'll find it a pretty amazing resource for finding new books.

I am delighted. Thank you for continuing to write.

Hey Buddy, you mentioned getting involved in my book project! Tomorrow I'm going to start reposting my rewrite of the original Night Gods. I could use some feedback on how to tie the two stories together and yet keep them relatively independent. The first is a short story- but integral in setting up the longer second. Let me know what you think.

I'm going to check out goodreads... I'd never heard of it before. OK City huh and KC now? I'm not that far away!

i'm still totally down and i have my weekend completely open to focus on all things literary! i'd like to have you email me both sections (if you're okay with that) so i can print them off at work and read them here at home this weekend (not on a screen). but i also don't want either of us to share our emails on here for fear of spam...got an idea? you could send it to me through twitter if you've got one...

Instead of me trying to figure out which Adam Rotenberger you are on Twitter, why don't you send me yours Rich Quitliano or Rich Quit on Twitter. I'll be happy to email you the beginnings of the first part, but they won't make a lot of sense if you haven't been following the Night Gods II (25 or so chapters). I want to integrate the two.

done and done!

and honestly, just send me everything. i'll read it all in order and we'll figure out the best way for you to integrate it all. i'm sure it won't be too difficult at all.

There are links to the Night Gods II here on my posts. I don't have time to cut and paste 25 chapters. I still have to write to try to make money... This is my only source of income. I'll be happy to send part 1 as I rewrite it.

ahhh...gotcha. i figured you had them all saved in a word doc somewhere. i can go back and compile everything together, no biggie.

I sent you my email and will be happy to send you the parts to that as I rewrite them... I'm doing it on Word Pad Or whatever the word processor is so cut & paste will be easy. I'm also going to repost it on here

I'm on Goodreads! I write reviews sometimes and really like the giveaways. My reading list is a little more mainstream. I may have to add you and see what reading list you have going on. Maybe I'll find something I find interesting.

oh it'll be interesting alright :P...my reading list can get pretty wild.

i love the giveaways, but i've yet to win a single one yet, so i've stopped signing up for them :/
