According to Erick Olin Wright, to change the world you need:
- «A social theory capable of explaining how the world works»
- «A desirable, viable, and feasible proposal of an alternative social organization»
- «A political strategy that takes into account the strengths and weaknesses of the system, the possibilities for change and the social forces involved»
The substancial lack of current anti-system movements is a proposal for an alternative social organization. In part due the absence of a social theory that allows us to formulate such proposal, as well as a coherent political strategy capable of making it a reality. That is what Olin Wright suggests in his book Envisioning Real Utopias.
