Mythology: The Complete Guide to Our Imagined Worlds

Every culture has its own myths and heroes. The main reason for me to buy this book beside information about covering the major myths of the world(Native American, Judeo- Christian, Greek, Nordic, Aboriginal, and so forth, includes family trees) beautiful visuals which include gods and monsters, demons, the afterlife, and the underworld. This book is interesting with the hundreds of colorful, beautiful, and sometimes bizarre illustrations. This is not such a book that is suitable to study any mythology in details, but it's great with pictures you have never seen before.

The book includes tales of the world’s creation, undying love, the Sun and the Moon, gods of the weather, tricksters, terrible monsters, the afterlife and the underworld, and more.

Very nice post! I am a a big fan of Joseph Campbell who wrote about mythology. The Power of Myth is one of my favorites (based on an interview with Bill Moyers).

Thank you for suggestion I will look into that =))

Will definitely be checking at my library for this guy, this book looks like a really rad read.

Happy to help =))
