What are you reading?

For my fellow book lovers out there I would like to ask: what are you reading? I just finished Zoo Station, the first in a series by David Downing about espionage in WWII. This is fiction, but set in a historically accurate world, which I think adds a lot to the story. I also really enjoy the characters because they seem like real people, rather than superheroes! I stumbled on David Downing by accident while browsing my local public library, but am really enjoying his novels thus far. Please share your book recommendations with me, or feel free to ask for some! STEEM ON

I'm reading Behave: The Biology of Humans at our Best and Worst by Robert Sapolski. It's a fascinating tour through human neurobiology. I highly recommend it!

That sounds awesome! I will definitely check it out. Have you read The Sixth Extinction by Elizabeth Kolbert?

I'm reading Bretz's Flood: The Remarkable Story of a Rebel Geologist and the World's Greatest Flood, by John Soennichsen. Literally just started, but enjoying the couple chapters I've read so far. Just finished The Fellowship, a book about the Inklings. Actually just did a review of it as well!

Also, you should always try to include a picture in your posts (the cover of Zoo Station would work well here) and have all five tags used. It'll help you find a bigger audience that way!

Thank you so much for the tips! As I'm sure you can tell, I am new to steemit and haven't figured out what I'm doing yet. I really appreciate the help! I'm heading over to visit your blog and check out the book reviews now. Happy reading!

Steemit's got a steep learning curve, but it's worth it in the long run if you keep putting in the time! Just know that it will take quite a while before you start getting attention and followers. Keep posting high quality content regularly, and make sure to search out other people's posts, read them, and give relevant comments on their posts!

There are also a lot of really good resources out there for minnows (new users). You should check out the following:

All of these are fantastic resources for new members. In addition, setting up a profile picture and a banner would be handy as well.

Thank you once again for the support and encouragement. I've been really impressed with the quality of the community here so far, and you are a big part of that. Thanks for making a beginner feel welcome!
