The War of the Worlds by H. G. Wells. Having watched the 1953 film many times as a kid (it was shown every year) I had preconceived ideas going in. It's well written, very engaging& you really care about the characters but it's quiet short. It also seems there was more in the brother's character arch left un written. My biggest surprise thanks to the movie was that it takes place in a different time period.. Doh! A nice read not a must read. #reading #book #bookstagram #hgwells #waroftheworlds
