“What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn't happen much, though.”
Tonight we have The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. This is the first book club edition, rare in its own right, which is nearly identical to the first printing but substantially more affordable. Salinger's author photo is on the back, which he requested be removed from later printings. An iconic book of 20th century literature.
