BOS 플랫폼 재단은 탈중앙화된 공개 소프트웨어 분야에서 첨단 기술과 응용 기술을 개발하는 것을 주요 목적으로 합니다. 이러한 목적을 이루기 위해, 재단은 ICO 모금 당시의 목표, 즉 백서의 구현을 달성하고자 노력하고 있습니다.
재단은 오랜 기간 메인넷 등 핵심 개발을 (주)블록체인오에스에 아웃소싱 해왔습니다. 그러나, 외부 자문단을 통해 기술 분석을 실시한 결과, 현재의 플랫폼 개발 상태가 위의 목적과 일치하지 않고, 개선될 여지가 없다는 것을 확인하였습니다. 기존 개발 내용상으로는 중앙화된 Private Network이고 Trust Contract가 부재하며, 오픈 멤버십과 투명한 Congress 기능 구현이 어렵고 불가능할 것으로 판단하였습니다.
이에 대해 재단은 커뮤니티가 기여한 자금을 통해 프로젝트 개발을 지속하기 위해, 기존의 외주 계약을 해지하고, 기술 개발을 인소싱하기로 결정했습니다.
이 결정에 따라 재단은 아래와 같은 방향성으로 프로젝트를 다시 추진하고자 합니다.
• 백서에 부합하는 결과물을 산출할 수 있도록 개발사항 재구축
• 직접 모니터링/통제 가능하도록 개발 외주가 아닌 인하우스 개발조직 구성
• 외부 기술 자문 위원회를 구성하여 지원/견제 하에 개발업무 진행
• 개발 투명성을 위해 진척 현황을 수시로 커뮤니티에 공개
아울러 재단은 ESA에 진정서가 제출된 상황을 인지하고 있습니다. 재단은 ESA로부터 보스 프로젝트에 대한 신뢰를 회복하기 위해 적극적이고 능동적으로 대처하고 있습니다. 향후에도 모든 사업 진행 내용을 수시로 리포트함으로써 스위스 감독당국의 신뢰를 공고히 할 예정입니다. 또한 남아있는 재원을 앞으로도 철저하고 투명하게 관리해 커뮤니티의 신뢰를 회복하고, 이를 바탕으로 프로젝트를 완성하겠습니다.

BOS Platform Foundation’s mission is to promote and develop new technologies and applications, especially in the fields of new open and decentralized software architectures. To fulfill this purpose, we strive to achieve the goal for which its funds were collected during the ICO, namely the realization of the White Paper.
We have so far outsourced core development to BlockchainOS, to whom development of MainNet has been long entrusted. However, upon technical assessment from 3rd party advisors, we have found the current state of platform development to be unaligned with the above purpose, with little leeway for rectification. Past development has seen a centralized private network and lack of Trust Contract, as well as difficulty, if not impossibility, of developing open membership and transparent Congress functionality.
Therefore, BOS Platform Foundation has made the decision to terminate the preestablished outsourcing contract and to insource the technical development, to continue building the project with the funds entrusted by the Foundation’s contributors.
In accordance with this decision, we aim to pursue the project with the following bearings:
• Rebuild development in convergence with White Paper
• Insource development team to facilitate direct monitoring and control
• Pursue development under support and auspices of an external technical advisory board
• Share with the community the pace and progress of development in order to elevate transparency
Furthermore, we are aware that certain claims have been filed to the attention of ESA. We are actively responding to ESA to retain its trust in the BOS project. We, of course, look forward to sharing the progress of our business with Swiss supervisors in order to consolidate such trust. Furthermore, we will continue to manage our funds carefully and transparently, to recover faith with our Community and to build this project upon that cornerstone.
