SEE HOW TO GET THE BEST OUT OF VOTING BOTS ON STEEMIT

in bot •  7 years ago

Surely I know that topics like this aren't new on steemit, but with recent happenings (Including the showup of some new voting bots coupled with my personal experiences) I think a new post like this need to be written since it uses current experiences and names of current voting bots.....So read on to get the full message

When I first joined steemit, one of the very many things my friend who introduced me to steemit told me was that aside getting upvotes from people who thinks your post to be educative, you can also pay some bots to give some upvotes to you. In order to make me fully understand what he was saying, he paid @minnowbooster to drop some coins on my introduction post. Even though he strove to make me understand the mechanism of bots especially about voting, I still found it pretty difficult to use them. Even when I tried on several occasions, I ended up getting just little above the worth of my voting power. There has been times when I ended up getting nothing in return because of so many factors which I have outlined below and fully explained for the use of all concerned steemians.

HOW VALUABLE IS THIS POST TO ME?

Recently I overhead a friend here on steemit complaining bitterly about his experience with three different "supposed" voting bots. Part of his complain was how he sent some hard earned SBDs to these bots and got nothing in return....THAT IS REALLY SAD! With this post therefore, I hope to be able to enlighten steemians who at the current, are facing such challenge. This post is therefore very much valuable to me since it is tailored toward helping a disheartened friend out there get some basic bot-voting tips. You also can help resteem this so it can get to a waiting neighbor.

Amongst the very many mistakes some steemians make when it comes to engaging voting bots, are these few very important ones outlined and explained below:

  • Lack of proper orientation about what voting bots are:
  • Voting bots as the name implies, are robots designed by fellow steemians to help you push up your share of your posts i.e. to upvote your posts much more than what you are supposed to originally get out of the post....(Do some readings by yourself)

  • Lack of proper understanding about how bots work:
  • There are different mechanisms by which different bots vote your posts. Improper understanding of how these bots work has always been the reason why most people don't get the most out of bot activities.

  • Lost of reading and personal research habit:
  • In order to succeed on steemit, you must learn to read and do personal researches. One of the very many reasons why you might not be getting the most out of your post in upvotes from the bots might be your laziness in reading and researching.

  • Paying a bot for upvote at the improper post age day:
  • Reading/personal research should help avert this costly mistake. Some bots require your post to be some days old before they vote i.e. some won't vote your post if it is older than 3.5day, some 4 days old and some 5 or 6. Some steemians engage voting bots when their posts have exceeded the bot's voting days.

  • Never taking time to check the current voting power of these bots:
  • Truth be told, bots are bots..agreed. But sometimes they have their voting power lowered because of incessant votes. So you've got to check out the current voting power of the bot you wanna make do with. If you ask me, I will suggest @minnowbooster, @jerrybanfield and some few others.

  • Never taking time to check how many SBDs or STEEMS the bot you wanna use take:
  • Some bots take as low as 0.10 SBD and some will mandate you to send 1.000 SBD and above. Some people send below what a bot takes and this cause these bots never voting their posts.

Visit https://steembottracker.com/#bid today and discover the various bid and upvoting bots. When you get here, check out the list of bots there and subscribe to bot notifications when the notice pops up.

One of the things you should do when you get to this site is take a look at all the listed bots, check out their details and pick the one which best suit you, having considered: Their current voting powers, minimum fees, next voting/previous votings, and their best bids.

Voting bots are pretty wonderful. I am a living witness to their wonderful services. So go ahead and engage them, but take caution.
