Staying on top of a big boulder rock in Valparisa, Chile was fun

The correct name for this very big rock is called the Historic Quarter. Because we like to experience the culture and the people of a new place we are attracted to the old parts of a city. Isn't this what travelling all about? Getting to meet and talk with the locals and learn about the history and their lives. We never regret this decision because there are so many wonderful lasting memories of the lovely people we get to know during our stay.

Here is a photo of the Historic Quarter taken from the city below. It stands out!

A task was mentioned made by our host Marcella at our accommodation called The Manor. But we, the walkers said no of course. We can do this was our response. We found that it was easy walking down this rock but a little tough walking up despite the attractive wall murals.

This way of collecting rubble from a house under renovation was intriguing. We had not seen this before. Check out the little boulders in the little wall!

We walked up this long and step slope taking us a short time with some puffing. It was not easy!

Check out this set of steps with the little stones displayed on each post. I love the piano look!

The best part of our stay on this rock was sitting and enjoying the view as we sipped a few glasses of white wine. It was fun to look down at the variety of views.

Thank you @shasta for initiating #boulderSunday. It gives me lots of opportunities to talk about boulders and rocks.

Happy Sunday

Cheers and Blessings

Angie, the cupcakes look delicious. Don’t mind if I have one. 😊

Lovely scenery and the piano look stairs is amazing. 💕

Seeing new things is the beauty of travelling isn't it. None happening this year sadly.
The cupcakes were our little 2 year's birthday cakes at our place. Got to have a bit of fun with a laugh.

Beautiful photos @angiemitchell! No, I would not fare well trying to get around there..lol. Those steps do look pretty cool and I love what they did with the little stones. Not fair..now I want a cupcake..sigh.... 😉

Mmmm cupcakes! :-)
Gorgeous photographs @angiemitchell! Beautiful there
and looks to be quite the walk up! Love those stairs
with the stones and keys, I wonder if they make a tune!
