Today is the first full day of Winter in my region.
The woods and boulders have been blanketed with snow for many weeks.
The photo above is one of my rock boundary markers that establishes where my land meets the neighbor's.
Looking out my cabin window to the right of Mr. Squirrel I can still see a few exposed rocks on the stonewall.
In the Spring ,Summer and Fall the stonewalls around my cabin are very busy with Chipmunks. They build their nest in the walls and hoard their food.
The grey squirrels like to build their nest high in the trees and steal birdfood.

@annephilbrick I have news for you, it has been winter at your place for over a month, a date on the calendar means nothing, lol. That squirrel is a hoot, it looks like he wants to come in and warm up, I bet Bruce would love to chase him. As always great pictures, and you know I love your boulders.
