#BoulderSunday intersection

in bouldersunday •  5 years ago

Well hello there, creatures on the Internet!

Welcome to my little blog and this #BoulderSunday. Today I cycled past an intersection of old stone walls that mark old field boundaries that are probably from the Stone Age / Iron Age like most other remains in the area.

Oh these are lovely boulders, all mossy. Makes you wonder
who set them many moons ago. Stone age must of been a awesome
time period!! :-)

Thank you very much 😊 They say it was the farmers that had to move all the boulders so they could plow the fields.

Beautiful shots!

Thanks for the update 😘

That’s a great boulder with the green moss. Often stones were used to mark off boundaries- they last forever, not like the wooden fences.

Yes and if the boulders were in the way of the plow it is a good place to place the boulders.
