There's No Flow in Steemit ~ Bounty

in bounty •  8 years ago  (edited)

Now that there's a new 'bounties' system we can solve this problem: there's No Flow in Steemit

Now you always have to go 'back' to another tag page, you cannot jump from post to post ... there's no flow.

There should be 'related posts' links on the individual posts.

something like this ... for example

Be it of the same author, the same tag's, new or trending posts, maybe 1 random pick out of the promoted section ... no matter how it will eventually function ... right now there's nothing and that's why there's no flow!

  • If you like the idea and want to see 'related posts' links on the individual posts ...
  • If your name is Ned and you started this 'bounties' idea ...

UPVOTE !

  • If you have suggestions on 'which related posts to select' ...
  • If you're a developer or a designer who likes #bounties and you could actually make this happen ...

Please, let everybody know by putting it in the comments.

Let's work together to improve the Steemit User Experience

There is no point in doing an automatic system of related posts, because inevitably it would pull in the vast majority of posts that have been published over a month before, and hence arn't eligible for further payment.

However, there is nothing stopping people from listing their own related posts at the bottom of articles.

why cant older posts still be voted on ?? seems a shame really !! Would give more hope for smaller accounts that their posts may get voted and read if they were readable and votable ad finitum !!

i find it truly hard to believe that you would behave in ruthless and disgusting manner !! this is not the way or politics of this community of sharing. This is just for me plain theft !! i will not let you off my line now till you are inside my boat !! renounce to your guilt and i cut the line or die here with your bad ways !!

I agree man :)

Maybe instead of just ending it after 30 days, votes from 31-120 days payout 50% of what would have been paid the first 30 days then 25% the next 6 months and just keep going like that.....posts would be good forever

An interesting way of suggesting content would be to do it based on what was also recently upvoted by people who upvoted the post you're reading. It could be stake based.

I think it is a great idea. It could pick related posts by scoring your own and the author's votes and follows to pick the newest posts with overlapping keywords with the current article. This would give quite relevant results I think.

Totally agree, a simple algo to pick up tags and weighting based on popularity, author rep etc

There is a clunkiness to the user experience and I can't say for sure if your proposal will fix that, but it seems a step in the generally right direction.

Yes, I agree totally. You would have a hard time finding a site anywhere that doesn't use some form of related posts feature. It's textbook seo strategy, deep link to other parts of your site. Needs to happen here asap.
