Over the years I haven't been that into boxing, MMA, or UFC but for some reason during the Pandemic I started tuning in more. Maybe because Dana White did an excellent job of putting on events when there were no other sports on tv. one of my younger brothers wanted to tune into the fight so I thought I would watch also.
Earlier in the week on Twitter there were some photos of the weigh-in and Jake Paul looked in much better shape than Ben Askren. Even though Askren is a Bitcoin guy, I was rooting for Jake Paul. Why? I don't have any idea.
The fight was way past my bedtime but with Snoop Dogg as an analyst I had to tune in early. He was his usual hilarious self. When I saw Jake Paul come out with the robot I knew Askren was in trouble.
When the fight began, it was over. The fight did not last for more than two minutes and all it took was one massive right hand blow to Askren's temple to put him on the floor.
Some people said the ref called it early and I would probably agree but I don't think Askren would've gotten out of that round.
At the end of the day, both of these guys got a nice little pay day and I can't wait to see who Jake Paul fights next.
