Mayweather vs McGregor $175 Steem Giveaway / Contest

We are less than a week away from the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor Mega Event! Personally, I think this is more a farce than a fight, because if the fight is real, I don't see how someone who has never boxed professionally is going to take down one of the best - if not the best - boxer in the world. Mayweather has beaten the likes of Oscar De La Hoya, Juan Manuel Marquez, and Manny Pacquiao. This is assuming the fight is real. If the fight is fixed in any way, I still don't see Mayweather letting McGregor beat him. The only way he would is because Mayweather wagered money against himself when the odds started at 200-to-1 which is extremely unlikely given the fact that any big wagers at those odds would not have gone unnoticed. Now imagine trying to collect?

So either way, it will be very interesting to watch this spectacle (notice that I'm still refusing to call this a fight) unfold come Saturday, August 26th! I've already gotten my bets in and it should not surprise anyone here that my wager is on Mayweather to win.

However I understand that not everyone here shares my opinion, so to make August 26th more interesting, I'm running a contest where I will let you predict what's going to happen at the event. There will be 3 winners as follows:

#1 FIRST PLACE: $100 Steems
#2 SECOND PLACE: $50 Steems
#3 THIRD PLACE: $25 Steems

The rules are simple: there can only be one entry / one pick per Steemit user and you send your pick by replying to this post and you have to be specific, for example: "I pick Mayweather to win by KO in the 3rd round". If you think Mayweather is going to win by decision, you can be more specific by stating whether it will be a unanimous decision or a split decision. Remember, the more specific you are, the better off you are if your pick wins. So if you only pick Mayweather to win by KO, and he does, but someone else picks the round, that person wins. We will go by the rule of the Price is Right. If Mayweather knocks McGregor out in the 4th round and no one picks that round but if one person picks round 3 and another picks round 5, the person who picks round 3 wins.

In the case of a tie where there are 3 people picking Mayweather winning by KO in round 4, then I will total up the rewards and distribute them to all 3 evenly. If there are more than 3 winners, then the rewards will be distributed amongst all the winners.

In the unlikely event no one wins, I will evenly distribute the total price ($175) to everyone who participates in this contest.

Wow what a great fight. I made some last minute bets that paid off, so I decided to give out more than what I originally advertised as follows:

I have to pick my winners for the US Open now (hint Zverev is a great pick even at +500 - I got in at +1000 two weeks ago right after he beat Federer at the Toronto Final. Nadal is also a good value at +250, followed by Kyrgios and Dimitrov at over 14-to-1 and 18-to-1 odds respectively).
