Have you ever tried to empower somebody by saying that they're capable of doing big things only to get met with laughter? Have you ever felt that you're not capable of doing big things? We have been persuaded to leave all the big thinking to the elites in business, politics and banking. Most people would like things to change from how they are now but we often feel that the task is so far above us that it's an impossible journey. We retreat to the comfort of our social circle and our career where we have a boss.
Society has been conditioned to be in that place of comfort. Some of us may compete for high positions in major corporations or government but those are systems that already exist, no real trailblazing has taken place. Humanity didn't get to where it is by copying, we got here from imagining and innovating.
Elites are fully aware for the general publics' willingness to be insignificant. Take the central banking environment for example. Massive words that are meant to confuse like "quantitative easing" (which means printing money) and many others. Why would we choose to know so little about the process of money when our whole lives revolve around it? We feel that the subject of monetary theory is so far above us that our opinion on the subject is irrelevant. The subject of central banking is almost non-existent in the news even though it has a higher impact on our lives that politics.
In my opinion, as people are living in urban settings more and more, we encounter so many people that we ourselves seem so insignificant. We are just as anonymous as the next guy or gal. We sum up a persons whole life around their occupation, and by that logic, that persons boss is their god. This is not a healthy way to go about life.
Our whole school career conditions us on how to be good workers, not good creative thinkers with an attitude of ambition and trailblazing.
The average individual is as creative and innovative as Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk, the difference is that those billionaires did it! They know the general public does not think too highly of themselves and will compete among each other for $50,000 a year jobs and less. But where there is close to no competition is being a innovative billionaire, people just won't touch that category.
You have to dig deep and feel that you have a role here in this lifetime. You will encounter others who want to tell you what that role is but don't listen to them, they're just want you on board with their agenda.
