According to breastcancer.org, about 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop breast cancer in her life. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month which means it’s a good time to learn about early detection, breast health education, and how to help fight this disease. In honor of this annual health campaign, many beauty brands are giving back to help support organizations that are bringing awareness to the cause or are doing research to fight and cure this terrible disease. We take a look at some of our favorite beauty brands that also donate breast cancer non-profits.

Guard your skin from air and computer pollution with The Better Skin Co.’s Super Shield Anti-Pollution Serum which is a natural pollution defense system powered by an herb called White Horehound. The Better Skin Co. is donating 100% of their October proceeds from the sale of Better Skin Super Shield Serum to iGoPink.

Belli Skincare is donating 25% of their October proceeds from the sale of Pure Radiance Sunscreen SPF 30 to iGoPink. The product is a clean, moisturizing shield protection and primer for your skin with a mineral based formula.

iGoPink is a national non-profit focusing on educating, empowering and encouraging people to be proactive in preventing breast cancer and, if diagnosed, surviving breast cancer. The non-profit provides free program services to educate, teach and provide the latest accurate information about cancer care, prevention and recovery.

Haircare

Every year Paul Mitchell fundraises and sells products to help many worthwhile charities including those that support breast cancer awareness and detection. Paul Mitchell supports Bright Pink, an organization with a mission to save women’s lives from breast and ovarian cancer. Watch out for limited-edition packaging on Paul Mitchell products such as Super Skinny Serum -- a portion of the proceeds from these products is donated to the charity!

Makeup

Vapour Beauty was founded a two-time cancer survivor, Krysia Boinis. This year the brand will be partnering with two breast cancer non-profits, Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation (HKBCF) and Lipstick Angels. HKBCF is Hong Kong’s first nonprofit dedicated to breast cancer education and advocacy. Vapour will be donating products through HKBCF to breast cancer survivors. The brand will also be donating products to Lipstick Angels, a nonprofit that provides in-hospital bedside beauty services to seriously ill cancer patients. You can feel good when you purchase products like Vapour Beauty’s Siren Lipstick, knowing that you are also supporting a great cause!
